"London 2012 Olympics- Brands Expect Little Profit"
The upcoming Olympics in London this year is expected to bring little profit to brand leaders which include Aviva, Halfords, ITV, Sainsbury's, Rolls-Royce and Tesco. This came to light when businesses assessed what effect they think the Olympic Games would have on their business.
There seem to be a regional disparity, in which business leaders in London are more likely to view the Games as "beneficial", than those based outside the capital. The companies like Appco Group looks forward to London Olympics as a great event that will give them a positive impact.
Of those who predict a positive impact from London 2012, more than half think there will be an increase in consumer demand and spending, and one in five believe the event will raise the morale of the British public.
The research done to prove the impact of UK business leaders upon the Olympic Games, were "realistic" about the potential of the 2012 Games.
